A big welcome back to all of our Acorn Class families. Our older Super Squirrels have now become Wise Owls and are ready to begin working hard on their reading, phonics, writing and numbers.
Just a few reminders...
Wise Owls
Reading books will be changed on Mondays and Thursdays if they have been read at home. We recommend reading with your child and practicing their phonics and Tricky Words every day.... this really does make a difference.
Homework will be sent home on a Wednesday, to be returned the Wednesday after.
We will listen to readers and check Tricky words on a regular basis.
Please ensure you send your child with their blue school book bag everyday so that we can hear them read, or check their Tricky Words as and when.
All Children
Please ensure your child has a coat with them everyday. We do spend time outside whatever the weather!
Forest Schools is on a Thursday morning. Please send your child to school dressed ready for Forest Schools with their uniform with them. We will only change them into their uniform if they get wet or muddy.
Please send a water bottle in daily for your child.
Please ensure all uniform and Forest schools kit is named.
