Happy New Year!

Oak class have really settled back in to school life after the Christmas break, and it's been great to see everyone ready and raring to go!

This week, we've been fortunate enough to work with Chris Evans (Josh's dad) who taught us all about the art of photography.

Once he showed us how to use the camera properly - and we were all amazed at the beautiful photographs he'd taken - we set off into the school wood to take some of our own.

Viking Cookery:

We have been learning all about the Vikings and on Thursday morning, we pretended we had set off on a long voyage to find new land. We had to cook and eat by the fire, using only the minimal ingredients we took with us. They included: salted fish, flatbreads and pancakes with wild blueberries.

After we had eaten and were strong enough, we set off to explore our new land!
