This week in Ash Class we have continued to focus our literacy work around the book ‘The Day The Crayon’s Quit’. Over the past few weeks Ash class have been in the role of crayons and have worked incredibly hard to produce a formal letter to persuade Duncan that they need a break (after all, crayons need a rest too!). The standard of the letters have blew me away and the children have come up with some fabulous ideas! We have used these letters to create our very own ‘The Day The Ash Class Crayon’s Quit’ book which is sat on our book shelf - come and take a peek!
In maths we have been telling the time and are all experts! We then transferred this knowledge to geography and looked at time around the world. We had an interesting discussion about how time is different in some countries and thought about what children might be doing in Australia when we were having breakfast or sleeping.
In science we have started looking at teeth and their function. Next week we will be looking at the importance of brushing our teeth.
