This week in maths, we had revisited divsion to make sure we were all able to use the correct method. We were then able to work in gropus to solve some problems involving reasoning.

In literacy, we have been studying poetry and different rhyme patterns as well as figuartive language.

Take a look at our art work from Thursday's art session...

On Tuesday, we (Elm) visited Caedmon College (Scoresby site) to take part in a 'Science Week' where we had the chance to conduct experiments on chemical reactions and metals. We all enjoyed working in the labs and learned a great deal about how to successfully conduct experiments and record findings.

We would like to say a huge 'well done' to the children who performed in 'Let's Move 2017' at the Spa Pavilion on Saturday. All children have worked extrememly hard on their dance routine (choreographed by Hannah Barnett-Savage) and children behaved extremely well.

Congratulations to Phoebe for being awarded 'Dancer of the year'. We would also like to say a huge 'well done' to Mollie for being awarded the 'Stakesby Star of the week' for last week for 'making outstanding progress in all areas', to Michelle for being awarded the certificate this week for 'mastering the bus stop method in division', to Oliver, Noah and Mia for being awarded a Headteacher's Award for their art work, and to Michelle and Oliver for also getting a medal this week. WOW! What a lot of success this week!
