In class this week we have been making up magical chants to use with the magic potion recipes we made earlier this half term. Magical chants are sometimes called spells, they usually rhyme and are only about four or five lines long. You may think that it is easy to write a good spell but it isn't as you have to choose the words you want to use very carefully. Our spells are to turn our teachers into something else so we have also had to rehearse saying them aloud with expression. If we don't get them just perfect, the spell won't work! So far, we have managed to turn Mrs Baker into a tree!

Our 'Star of the Week' this week is Summer who really impressed Mrs Leather by listening carefully and responding to instructions which resulted in high quality learning in both Maths and Writing which was also beautifully presented. Well Done Summer!
