Hi there.

It's our Christmas fair today so we're all very busy helping out and getting things sorted. It's a very busy time in Elm class at the moment. Our learning journeys continue at the same pace and intensity though, regardless of the Christmas festivities.

In maths, we're looking at multiplying numbers by 10, 100 & 1000 and multiplying 2 & 3 digit numbers using the column method.

In literacy we've been looking at missing persons reports and writing our own version for the missing girl Alma.

The choir are practising daily at the moment, ready for the performance at the Spa on Saturday night.

We are seeing a little more of our new teacher, Mrs Hugill, and are helping her (and us!) with the transition ready for Mrs Tillson leaving after Christmas. We will miss Mrs Tillson , but Mrs Gurney and Mrs Tillson think we'll be ok as we're very mature and focused on our learning.

We have lots of fun Christmas activities lined up to tell you about in the last few weeks of this very busy term so keep popping back!

Best wishes, Elm class.
