What a busy, but wonderful week we have had. We have started learning about people who help us and have been learning all about the fire service. We have look at photographs of fire engines and the uniforms and equipment the fire fighters use. We have learnt a song called '5 Little Firemen Standing in a Row'. Ask your child to sing it to you, we'd love to know if they can remember the words! On Friday the Whitby fire brigade came in to school and brought their fire engine. we were able to answer lots of their questions from what we had been taught and it was great to get a chance to sit in the fire engine and also shoot water out of the hose.
